Evan - Human Wizard

The son of a prostitute, Evan never knew his father. His mother did her best to raise him, but it was obviously difficult making ends meet with such a lifestyle in Laric's Gate. Luckily, Evan's aunt Talluna was able to help them out. Talluna was able to get Evan and his mother jobs working for the city and the royal family, doing various light labor tasks. Evan started out as a kitchen boy and occasionally ran minor errands for the cooks and staff.
Evan spent his precious little downtime visiting the city library and pouring through all manner of books. It was on one of these trips to the library that Evan saw a familiar face, that of Sir Ashmor, the head librarian of royal archives. Sir Ashmore was picking up a large parcel of tomes and he quickly enlisted Evan's aid in bringing them back to the royal archives. Through this chance meeting Evan began down the new path that would define his life. Sir Ashmore took a liking the bright young boy and took him under his wing. No longer did Evan spend his days cutting vegatables and cleaning up after cooks, instead working as a page in the archives under his new mentor.
Evan found that he had more time away from his work duties, but Sir Ashmore and Evan quickly filled these periods with intense study in the arcane arts. As time went by Evan's skills grew and impressed his master. However, with his seemingly limitless potential, the archives lost their luster. Evan longed for more than rooms filled with dusty shelves where he would never use his new powers. Sir Ashmore recognized this in Evan and sat down with the youth to discuss his apprentice's options. After long debate and weighing of the options, they decided that Evan would not be satisfied in the confines of the archives. He needed the open air and excitement that came with the life of being an adventurer. Sir Ashmore had lived such a life as a youth and recognized that Evan's true calling lie outside of Laric's Gate where his powers could do some good.
With a many a sad goodbye to his family, friends, and mentor, Evan left Laric's Gate and headed North to Greenvale and embarked on the adventurer's path.
Evan does plan on returning to Laric's Gate to see his friends and family, and hopefully will be able to use the gold gained from adventuring to help out his mother and aunt.
